Apple’s Latest iPhone Lineup Is Its Most Expensive Ever

That day of the year is finally here. Apple todayunveiled three new iPhonesand if you’re planning to buy one, you can also boast about buying an iPhone at increased prices besides the exciting updates – and there areplenty of improvements.

While there’s a lot to talk about in terms of the new hardware and software features theiPhone XS,iPhone XS Plus, andiPhone XRpack inside them, let us first take a look at how much lighter your wallet is about to get. Here’s a quick comparison of the prices between iPhone models from this year and the last:

While Apple has done the commendable job ofkeeping the base price samefor these iPhones, the top-most model is not only the most powerful iPhone with the largest screen ever but also thepriciest of the bunch that almost nudges the $1,500 mark, falling short by just one dollar.iPhone XS and XS Max

So for the price bump, you get a large 6.5-inch never seen before OLED display on an iPhone, an improved A12 Bionic CPU, a massive eight-core NPU to make the iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR really really smart. Besides these, thecameras are now betterand Apple seems to have borrowed inspiration from Google HDR+ to create what it called Smart HDR.iPhone XR

The new iPhone XS and XS Max will beavailable for pre-order September 14 and shipped on September 21. In India, these smartphones arrive only a week later i.e. on September 28. The XS is priced at Rs 99,900, while the XS Max will start at Rs 1,09,900 in India, making it the most expensive phone to be sold in the country so far.

The iPhone XR, on the other hand, will be up for pre-order on October 19 and will be available a week later i.e. October 26 in 50 countries including India. Even though it’s billed as an affordable option, the iPhone XR will start at Rs 76,900 in India, which is definitely not very affordable.

With this launch,Apple has also slashed the prices of the iPhone 7as well as the iPhone 8 duo which now start at $449 and $599, respectively. The revised India pricing is yet to be revealed for the older iPhones.
