Use YouTube’s New Voice Search Feature on iPhone and Android
First things first, ensure that your devices are running the latest version of YouTube. The feature has been rolled out for both iOS ( of course iPadOS included) and Android. So, it doesn’t matter which of the two most popular mobile operating systems you are running, you can use this feature. With that said, let’s get started with the quick steps!
Note:The steps for both iOS and Android are the same. So, we have just shown Android’s screenshots.

Open theYouTubeapp on your device.

Now, tap on theCastbutton at the top right corner of the screen.
Note:On your iOS device, a popup will appear from the bottom. Tap onYouTube on TV.Just in case you haven’t yet connected your device to the smart TV, tap onLink with TV codeand then tap onLearn how to get a TV code.

Next, launch theYouTube appon your connected Smart TV.

Now,overlay with a voice search buttonwill appear on the screen.Tapon the red microphone icon and then speak the phrase or word you wish to search. The search results will instantly appear on your Smart TV.
Note:A popup will appear on the screen saying, “Voice searches are saved in the TV’s search history and influence recommendations. To associate your activity only with your account, sign in to YouTube on TV. Tap onCloseto proceed.
