iOS 13 Release Date Announced; Goes Live on September 19

Appleannouncedits new mobile operating system, iOS 13, at its annual WWDC 2019 developer conference earlier in June. iOS 13 brings along a host of new features, like system-wide dark mode, Sign-in with Apple, swipe to type support, and performance improvements.

The Cupertino giant was too engrossed in listing out the upgrades for its new iPhone 11 series that it did not talk about the release date for iOS 13. Well, worry not, the officialpress releasefor the new iPhones is here and it lists the date when the new iOS update goes live.

“iOS 13 will be available on September 19 as a free software update. Additional software features will be available on September 30 with iOS 13.1,”states the press release. This means you will be able to enjoy a hoard of new features which also includes a revamped Photos app, new photo editing UI, location data limits, an all-new Apple Maps experience, and revamped apps.

The iOS 13 update will be available on iPhone 6s or later, including the iPhone SE which was launched 3 years ago. You can find a complete list of supported Phone models down below:
