Micromax Launches Yu Ace with Stock Android at Rs. 5999
After days of teasers and hype generation, Micromax’s Yu subsidiary has today launched an affordable smartphone dubbed theYu Ace. The new smartphone packs entry-level hardware encased in a polycarbonate body with smooth edges and will be available in three color options viz. Charcoal Grey, Elektric Blue and Rose Gold.
The Yu Acestarts at Rs. 5,999and will beavailable exclusively from Flipkart starting September 6th, just a day afterXiaomiis expected to launch the super-affordable Redmi 6A, alongside the Redmi 6 and the Redmi 6 Pro, in India.
As for the Yu Ace, the entry-level smartphone packs a5.45-inch HD+(1440 × 720 pixels) Full Vision display with an 18:9 aspect ratio with 2.D curved glass and is capable of reproducing 16.7 million colors in the NTSC color gamut.
Under the hood, the new Yu smartphone packs a quad-coreMediaTek MT6739 processorcoupled withup to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storagewhich can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. The lower-end version of the Yu Ace packs 2GB of RAM coupled with 16GB of storage, while the higher-end variant features 3GB of RAM paired with 32GB of internal storage.
Yu Ace Specifications:
In the imaging department, the Yu Ace packs a13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera, both of which are accompanied by a LED flash. The front camera also facilitates face unlock for authentication, however, there is also a rear mounted fingerprinted scanner. The device bootsstock Android 8.0 Oreoand has a beefy4,000mAh batterywhich is claimed to provide an entire day of usage.
Yu claims that the company will offer customer support in up to 22 regional languages. As for the pricing, the Yu Ace’s 2GB + 16GB version has been priced at Rs. 5,999, while the higher end 3GB + 32GB variant carries a price tag of Rs. 6,999.
