Oppo R17 Pro Is Official: Tiny Notch, Triple Camera With SuperVOOC Fast Charging

After much anticipation, Oppo has finally made the Oppo R17 Pro official, and the device certainly packs in a punch. While many expected that the Oppo Find X would be the first in many of the devices to come with a full-screen display and no notch, Oppo seems to have gone with the notched-design on the R17 Pro. However, it is probably one of the best-looking notches out there.

The Oppo R17 Pro features a6.4-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels along with a waterdrop-style notchwhich was introduced with the F9/F9 Pro. As for protection, the panel is protected by the latestGorilla Glass 6 from Corning, and the slim bezels offer ascreen-to-body ratio of 91.5%.

As for the hardware, the Oppo R17 Pro is powered by theSnapdragon 710 chipsetwhich debuted with the Mi 8 SE and packs8GB of RAM and a whopping 128GB of internal storage.The device packs in all of the sensors you’d expect from a device of this price, along with anunder-display fingerprint scanner.

For the photography enthusiasts out there, the Oppo R17 Pro packs a 25MP f/2.0 on the notch at the front, that should work pretty well for selfies, along with Oppo’s camera AI. However, it’s the rear side where things actually get interesting. The Oppo R17 Pro packs in atriple camera setup on the back, similar to the Huawei P20 Pro. The device packs in a12MP + 20MP + TOF 3D stereo camera, offering an aperture of F1.5/F2.4+F2.6.

This entire package is backed by a3,700 mAh battery, which is split into two halves of 1,850 mAh each. The main reason behind this is that it enables the50W SuperVOOC charging technologywhich promises 40% charge in 10 minutes with the provided charger.

The Oppo R17 Pro is live onOppo’s websiteandis expected to go on sale in mid-October, for aprice of ¥4299.00 (Rs. 44,000).
