Poco F1 to Get Stable MIUI 10 Update This Week

Over the last few months, many Xioami devices, including its best-seller Redmi Note 5 Pro, havereceived the update to MIUI 10. And now, one of Xiaomi’s most prized devices – Poco F1 – is set to get a stable update to MIUI 10.

Through MIUI forums, Xiaomi recentlyannouncedthatPoco F1 devices will start receiving stable MIUI 10 update this week. Along with the new interface, the update will also be fixing certain compatibility and stability issues.

As you know, the biggest change from the previous version of MIUI toMIUI 10is in terms of the appearance. MIUI 10 brings arefreshed interface with pleasant colors and rounder iconswhich remind me of Android Pie – even though the update is based on Android Oreo 8.1. The update also brings thenew vertical grid in the Recents screenand refinednavigation gestures.

Besides the visual changes, we can expect MIUI to improve the performance of thealready powerful Poco F1. I havebeen using the MIUI 10 betafor over a month and the firmware bumped up the performance slightly, not to forget the less cluttered interface with a minimal aesthetic. So, I see the stable version of the MIUI update improving the experience even further.

The MIUI update will also coincide with the roll-out of a new version ofPoco Launcher, which was recently released on the Google Play Store. This update willallow users to configure the size of iconson the homepage as well as inside the app drawer while adark mode for the app draweris also under development.

Moreover, if you’ve been having a bad time gaming on Poco F1, despite its all of itshardware strengths, the update should also fix issues that might still be troubling some of the chicken dinner-hunters. Apart fromfixing the interface on PUBG Mobile, the MIUI 10 update should alsoresolve incompatibility issues with Asphalt 9: Legends.

Lastly, Poco says that with the update, you should be able to see the icons or badges associated with incoming notifications. We’ll also take a look atother issues on Poco F1that get fixed post the update.

Please note that if you’ve been using the beta build of MIUI 10, you’ll have to install the stable version of MIUI 9 to receive an OTA. Else, you can also flash the stable firmware when it is released officially. We’re eager to test it out soon and will be bringing you our opinions on it.
