Redmi K20 Pro’s First Update Brings Camera Optimizations and Latest Security Patch

The Redmi K20 Pro recently arrived in India with much fanfare, and it’s a phone that packs in a lot of features at a great affordable price. I know, there’s a lot of talk about the phone being a little expensive, but you have to agree to the fact that the Redmi K20 Pro brings a lot to the table at its price. Now, if you are someone who has already bought the Redmi K20 Pro, there’s good news for you. Xiaomi has started rolling out a new update that fixes important bugs, brings camera optimizations and the latest security patch.

Our Redmi K20 Pro Indian variant has received the new update, dubbedMIUI 10.3.3.0.PFKINXM (475MB in size), and as you can see from the screenshots below, it updates the Redmi K20 Pro to the latest June security patch. Plus, it a fixes a bug around media volume and the crashing of Mi Cloud, improves the beautify and filters UI in the camera app and lets you use the same set of filters on usual photos, portrait mode shots and short videos.

If you have seen our review of the Redmi K20 Pro (if you haven’t, check it out below), the phone does not make a lot of compromises. However, we do mention that the phone’s camera performance could have been better and the pop-up camera is quite slow. Well, the latest update does not fix any of these things but I am hoping Xiaomi is working to improve these aspects of the Redmi K20 Pro.
