This App Lets You Set Apps to 60Hz or 90Hz Individually on OnePlus 7 Pro
Smartphones with high refresh screen displays, likethe OnePlus 7 Prowith its 90Hz AMOLED display, are undoubtedly a pleasure to use, but those buttery smooth transitions come at the cost of battery life. Well, the good news is, if you have a OnePlus 7 Pro and you are interested in taking control over your phone’s display, Auto90 is an app you should not miss out on.
Auto90 is an app that allows you totweak the refresh rate on a per-app basis. That is, you get the option to set the refresh rate of individual apps. This way, you don’t have to waste your precious battery on apps that don’t even utilize that 90Hz refresh rate. Cool, right?
Before you install the app, make sure you own a OnePlus 7 Pro running Oxygen OS based on Android 9 Pie since this app is not supported in custom ROMs as of now. Also, the app is limited to the OnePlus 7 Pro and will not work in other devices with high refresh rates unless the developer adds support for it in a later update.
To get started, install the app from the Play Store andenable USB debuggingfrom developer options on your device. Once you’ve done that, connect your phone to a PC and enter the following ADB command on the PC.

Once the installation process is complete, you will get a screen similar to the below image showing the list of apps installed on your OnePlus 7 Pro.Set 60Hz for the apps you think are not worth allowing 90Hz refresh rate.
There is also a button in the top right corner of the app to reset all the app configurations you set so far in case you wish to start from scratch.
