Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 Specification, Launch Date and Price in India
Upping the ante on the bezel-less game, Xiaomiyesterday announced the successor to the Mi Mix 2S. The Mi Mix 3 uses a sliding mechanism which veils the selfie camera and allows for a larger screen-to-body ratio compared to the predecessor.
The Mi Mix 3 comes with a tall 6.39-inch display with a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The ceramic material, which is used to craft the back of the Mi Mix 3, gives it a striking appearance while the slider is certain to catch anyone’s attention in this civilization of boxy and rectangular smartphones.
Powered by a Snapdragon 845, the Mi Mix 3 wields the power ofup to 10GB of RAM. After the recently launchedBlack Shark Helo, the Mix 3 becomesthe second smartphone which uses 10GB of RAM. However, this merit is limited to the highest variant which comes as a special edition model. Interestingly, the Mix 3 is also destined to be among the smartphones with support for 5G.
Alongside the standard ceramic look, Xiaomi also introduced the special “Forbidden City” edition with a golden lion etched on the back, inspired by the lion statues in the ancient palace in the Chinese capital. But for this variant, you’ll be required to pay 1,700 yuan more than the base model and 1,000 yuan more than the second-best version.
The Mi Mix 3 has a surprising camera performance and we already sawDxOMark hailing its capabilitiesin their well-timed camera review. It scores on par with theGalaxy Note 9and has been called almost as good as theiPhone XS. Complementing the dual camera setup on the rear aredual cameras on the front, which are backed by Xiaomi’s AI algorithms for beautification and bokeh.
